Heart and flowers

I really like the Altenew flower stamps and they're great for water-colouring.  I was inspired by the colours at the Altenew Febuary Inspiration Challenge and thought it would be nice to combine with 'heart/love' theme. Just as I was taking the photo, the evening sun hit the embossing powder and gave it a lovely shine.
The flowers and sentiment were heat-embossed with Altenew platinum embossing powder and the flowers water-coloured and placed behind a die-cut heart aperture.

Oh my, Sue, what a stunning card! What a clever idea to stamp heat emboss those gorgeous Altenew flowers in gold. Your soft watercolouring gives them a hand-painted silk look. I agree about the added beauty of the afternoon sun catching the embossing so well. How serendipitous! Love the way the flowers peek out of that lovely tilted heart. This is such an elegant creation. Thanks so much for sharing with our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

That shine on the embossing powder is so lovely. I love how you water colored the flowers and the design is a wonderful way to showcase the flowers.

Absolutely stunning card. Would really love it if you could answer this question for me please. How did you add the gold around the flowers? I think the gold is embossing powder but how do you get it just around the edge and not all over. Yes I'm new to this lol. Xxx

Hi Andrea, thank you for visiting my blog. I used a stamp with clear embossing ink and platinum embossing powder to make the outline. You ink the stamp and stamp onto the paper, sprinkle the embossing powder on, shake off the excess and melt the powder with a craft heat gun.
